A Zadar villa is a great base to explore and area rich in natural beauty, islands, national parks, history and culture! Starting with Zadar Old Town itself, the town is only around 30 minutes from the airport and vibrant hub to the area as a whole – check out the Roman Forum and quirky Sea Organ on the sea edge! There are many monuments and it is a thriving town locally with lots of culture and restaurants. Out of the town, there are three national parks that span the Zadar area - from islands to the Velebit mountains so lots of activity potential!
The Zadar archipelago is stunning from the air – be on the look out as you pass overhead on your incoming flight - the area is a sailor’s paradise but if you are not on a yacht, you can certainly still explore the terrific islands here. Take a trip to the Kornati National Park which is a collection of islands that include awesome Telascic Bay and many pretty beaches and unspoilt island coastline. You can also boat over to Dugi Otok (Long Island) and explore its coastline – check out the wonderful old lighthouse and Sakarun Beach which is one of the best beaches in the Zadar area. It’s about an hour ferry ride and worth the trip. Back on the mainland, the Velebit mountain range is ripe for exploration – head for the Paklenica National Park for some countryside adventure.
