Palm Tree Villa is one of those villas that covers all bases – it is on the beach so you can wander out of the garden gate straight on to the beach and take a dip. It also has a private pool and hot tub, and it has gorgeous palm trees in the garden as the name would suggest! What more could you want? Well the location is a bit special too. It’s only a 20 minute transfer from Split Airport so you can be sipping a glass of something chilled by the pool within 3 1/2 hours of your flight taking off, such is the quick baggage reclaim at the airport. So a no fuss arrival!
The villa has 6 double bedrooms (3 can be twin rooms) and 6 bathrooms and a lovely contemporary interior. It has a games room on the beach with a pool table and a couple of kayaks for you to use. The villa has a great summer kitchen and BBQ and a lovely big table for alfresco meals.
You can order a water taxi to collect you from the Palm Tree Villa‘s jetty on the beach, or you can catch the regular water taxi from the harbour just along the way. Alternatively there is a regular bus service going into Trogir old town or along to Slatine harbour from where you can catch the water taxi over to fascinating Split old town.
Great location
The villa is a very short distance to stunning Trogir Old Town with all its charms and atmosphere. Trogir is a great place to wander around, sightsee and partake of a meal in one of it’s countless delectable courtyard restaurants. Or just “order in” from a restaurant instead and have your own space – catering is no problem.
There’s a very good convenience store and several restaurants and a beach bar within a very short walk of the villa, so you don’t need to venture far at all whilst you are at the villa, but you’d be missing a trick if you didn’t get out and about. The villa manager is super and will help you plan your stay – the villa always gets great reviews and returning guests too.
Places to visit
Even though you will have a Croatia villa on the beach, if you are after more beaches and the un-spoilt Croatia you have heard about, a bit further up the road is Slatine and thereafter, the coast gets quieter and more untouched – definitely worth exploring. Or if you tire of relaxing you really couldn’t be in a better area with some great day trips to indulge in – Stunning Krka Waterfalls, the Roman Emperor’s Palace in the old town of Split (just hop on a water taxi!), Speedboat to Hvar Town (Hvar Island) and many more. You are even within reach of Dubrovnik, Plitvice Lakes and Mostar Old Town from here – all in a day and your villa manager can help organise these for you. There are lots of little towns and villages to explore here too and nothing is too commercialised, it’s just lovely. So much to do, so little time!
