Book in Advance
We’d suggest booking in advance if you want to hire a car on Brac Island as, in order to secure the type of car you want, as car stocks do run low and may not be available at short notice. Just ask our Local Representative for suggested local car hire companies so that you can contact them to get quotes and arrange your car hire.
Book when you Arrive
If you would rather wait until you arrive in Croatia to book your hire car then our local representative will be more than happy to suggest a car hire company on your arrival and can arrange transfers for you initially. That way you can car hire for a few days or more once you are settled in. As we said above, we do advise booking before you travel, however, in order to secure the type of car you want, as car stocks do run low and may not be available at short notice.

PRICES & PAYMENT
Prices are usually quoted in Croatian KUNA, are inclusive of Croatian VAT. It may or may not be possible to pay by credit card depending on the supplier. Where payment is by Credit card, fees may also apply (10%). Please contact the suggested car hire company to confirm all prices.
INSURANCE
Please check all insurance information with the supplier.
ACCIDENTS
Please note that rules in Croatia state that guests must call the police in the case of ANY damage to the car and obtain a POLICE REPORT or else the insurance (standard/full) will not be valid. The police may charge around 100 Euros for a police report and it can take around 4-5 hours for them to come out to you. Please ensure that you read the local suppliers full Terms & Conditions when collecting the car and ask anything you are unsure of.
COURTESY CARS
Please note that in the event of an accident, a courtesy car may not be provided – please check with the supplier when booking.
