Inspiring Locations on the Croatian Coast for a Spring Croatian Villa Holiday

Chasing the Sun – Sublime Croatian villa holiday locations for May Half Term and June Sunshine – Summer comes early to the Croatian coast – We are often out in Croatia during the Spring-time doing photo-shoots of new villas in Croatia which is certainly a fantastic perk of the job!
May is the start of the Croatian summer season as the sun starts properly beating down, with gorgeous warm days. Temperatures are usually in the mid 20’s and everything springs into life with beautiful flowers everywhere. By the end of May, the mercury has usually risen to around 30 degrees so May is a month where Croatia literally hots up. And of course the temperature doesn’t tend to go below that level again until the end of October!
Brac Island
If you’re getting away this May for the half term break, check out Brac Island just 50 minutes island hop from the Old Town of Split. Alternatively, get to the pool faster and travel in style, with a private boat transfer from the airport jetty. Sumartin Bay is a quaint little town on one end of Brac Island. It has a cute little harbour, complete with colourful bobbing boats. There are several restaurants around the bay that you enjoy scrummy local, organic fare. And when the going gets tough, there’s a beach every 100 yards or so to flop onto! Sumartin has breath-taking views of the mainland coast. It’s easy to get around the island from here so perfect for exploring with the children. You can also catch the ferry across from Makarska to make things interesting. Brac has a great variety of villas of all sizes, for all pockets.
Where to Stay?
Villa Sinatra on is flexible with start days which is great news for bagging the best flight deals. This is a good value family villa which has 3 bedrooms but you can also make one of the sofa beds in the 2nd living room work as a bedroom and get 4 bedrooms if you wanted. This villa is situated just around the bay from main part of the town and harbour. It’s just a short wander away and there is also a beach bar and restaurant yards from the villa itself. June 2023 price of €3,345 (approx. £2,860 @ 1.17 exchange rate).
If you need 4 bedrooms then Villa Azure is very modern and bright and has been completed to a high spec. It’s near one of the best beaches on the island and lots to do in the area. €5,312.5 per week (approx. £4,541). Villa Oceana is free for the 2023 May half term week and is a step up in luxury at €7,822 (approx. £6,6885). Need 6 bedrooms? Villa Mila‘s the one’s for you – absolute luxury with staff at your beck and call.
A more modestly priced large villa is 6 bedroom Villa Tika with great views and contemporary styling. Free weeks in May and June from €4,364 per week (approx. £3,730). Split Riviera
The Split Riviera with its lovely villas has sky rocketed in popularity in the last few years and no wonder. It’s easy to get to via Split Airport and with a wealth of things to do in the vicinity like the Krka Waterfalls, the Roman Palace in Split Old Town itself, the beautiful UNESCO Trogir Old Town. Together with the numerous gorgeous little beachy towns and villages up and down its coast, it’s great for families or groups who want to arrive and get on the beach right away. One of our most popular sea edge villas, six bedroom Palm Tree Villa, in Slatine Bay has just a few May and June weeks left. Priced from €4,502 per week (approx. £3,848).
If you need a smaller villa then 4 bedroom Villa Marina Beach is free for the 2023 May half term week and dates in June. It is up the coast from Split, great views and you can walk into the restaurants and bars of Marina. From €3,378 per week (approx. £2,887).
