US to Croatia Direct Flights
To add to the direct flights already flying to Dubrovnik, United will commence daily direct flights from New York/Newark EWR to Split at the end of April 2026 for the summer season. This is a great opportunity for travellers wanting to fly direct to two major Croatian cities from one of the largest airports in the US. For Split, Makarska Riviera & Trogir Rivieras – Split Flights – For holidays on the SPlit Riviera, Brac, Hvar and Vis Islands, flights are into Split or Zadar airport (for holidays in Ciovo, Vinisce, Seget Vranjica, Brac, Hvar, Vis).

- Citizens of the U.K., EU countries, the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand did not (and do not) need visas to visit Croatia. Visitors can visit Croatia for up to 90 days in any 180 day period.
- Please also note – some villas with pools have a strict Sunday or Saturday changeover for Dubrovnik, and Saturday only for Split & Istria.
- This is not always the case in low season (May/June/September/October) but please check before you book Croatia flights that your chosen start day will be possible!
Canada to Croatia Flights – Direct
These flights are generally provided by these airlines and providers, but please do check up to date schedules.
Air Transat fly from Toronto to Zagreb – from 14th May (flying once a week, on Tuesdays) before flying twice weekly (Tuesdays and Sundays) from 2nd June to 8th October. They will then again have once-weekly flights from 9th to 29th October.
Air Canada also operate flights from Toronto to Zagreb. For 2019, these will start on 1st June with flights operating on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. This route will operate until October.
If you’d prefer to fly into Croatia (via a stopover), we would advise that the best places to fly to in Europe are London or somewhere in Germany (you have a number of options, but Munich and Frankfurt are probably the best airports to fly to). These cities offer many flights to Croatia; in the case of London, however, you will probably have to transfer between airports. Rome is another suitable airport to fly via – Croatia Airlines has direct flights to Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik from here.
Polish Airline LOT – does Dubrovnik & Split – everywhere with 1 stop – from Chicago 17hrs – but they have all the major us airports on their site too. Some are really long flights – Dallas is 2 stops to Dub and a whole day flying but Denver is 2 stops and 17 hrs to Dubrovnik, and Miami to Dubrovnik is 16 with one stop.
