Croatia Top Destination for a Holiday in June, says Conde Nast
According to Conde Nast Traveller, a Croatia holiday is number one in their top 10 when it comes to taking a break in June. With the longest day or summer solstice taking place on the 21st June and light, brighter days upon us, Conde Nast looks at the best holiday destinations when the weather isn’t quite as good at home as we’d like!
Whether it be a beach holiday or a city break, optimistic sun seekers should head to Europe where the sunshine is guaranteed to be hot but not too hot. Conde Nast hails Croatia’s surge in popularity as meteoric but says it is not hard to see why it has become one of the hottest destinations for summer holidays. It highlights the music festivals like Hideout on the Island of Pag that attract the young and hip and also recommends taking to the stunning Dalmatian Coast in a yacht to enjoy beautiful turquoise bays and beaches. Or for history and culture, sumptuous Dubrovnik has it all covered with its historic old town, centuries of culture, architecture and sight seeing galore. It recommends Dubrovnik as perfect for a weekend break with plenty to see and do in the city.
The article goes on to recommend Croatia’s best beaches and the best Croatian islands and says that now that with June around the corner and summer about to start, summer holiday excitement is about to start. It also recommends the South of France in 2nd place and the Amalfi Coast in 4th place. Mykonos in Greece is in their 6th spot and Mallorca and Menorca in 9th position on the top ten list.
