Croatia Villa Holiday, Dubrovnik is a Great Choice

by  Croatia Gems, 28th September 2023

Croatia continues to grow as a holiday destination as more people expand their horizons from Spain, the Balearics and the like. So, if you’re set on a Croatian holiday, where best to start with?

A really safe bet is a villa holiday, Dubrovnik being a great location to begin with. It’s full of amazing character, history, and laid-back yet sophisticated vibes. Those in the know stay outside the honey-pot old town and head for nearby sea-edge villages connected to it with water taxis and buses for when you want to nip back to soak up more culture and great restaurants. These villages are just made for relaxing in your chosen Croatia villa.

Great Dubrovnik villa locations include Mlini with its sweeping bay of beaches, restaurants, and water sports. Or perhaps try elegant Cavtat, full of old-world charm. Between them lies Plat with more villa opportunities. On the other side of Dubrovnik is the lovely bay of Zaton with its crystal-clear water, perfect for swimming and snorkelling from the beaches. Zaton is also well- connected to Dubrovnik old town, so you won’t miss out. Each of these villages offer great Croatia beaches, restaurants and locations close to Dubrovnik.

When it comes to choosing a specific Dubrovnik villa have a look at these lovely tried and tested villa with private pool recommendations from our previous guests:

This Mlini bay one is gorgeous and pretty much our best-selling villa this year. Three-bedroom Villa Turquoise has fabulous sea views from every room, great dining terrace for alfresco meals and  contemporary styling. Gets consistently good reviews. It’s in Mlini bay and you really don’t need a car here – great beaches, restaurants, café bars, food shops – all walkable.

Villa Tereza is also in Mlini, beautifully furnished in shabby-chic style. Three bedrooms, jacuzzi, great views and 10 minutes’ walk down to the sea edge, beaches and restaurants in the bay so you are close to everything.

If you need more space, 4-bedroom Villa Zaton has a lovely garden, children’s play area, table football and cinema room. You’ve guessed it, Villa Zaton is within walking distance of lovely Zaton bay’s amenities!

For five bedrooms, Villa Nectara also has the advantage of a large garden and badminton, or Villa Anamaria has stunning views and a great pool terrace. Villa Floranneve is in Cavtat and has a large garden and very private.

If there are 12 of you, have a look at Villa Mlini with its 7 bedrooms, or Villa Lumiere can sleep up to 14! Larger again is elegant Villa Cavtat in Cavtat bay, sleeping up to 15.

If you need to really ‘go large’ then popular Villa Sophia in Zaton is for you. Arranged as apartments, it can sleep up to 20 guests, but 15-17 is a good-sized group.

Want to be away from everyone yet still have an ace villa holiday, Dubrovnik? Have a look at Villa Luca or Villa Belvedere. Both villas very close to Dubrovnik but set high above the town.
