October Croatia Villa Rental – the Best of all Worlds

by Croatia Gems 1st November 2022

Why not consider an October Croatia Villa Rental – The air temperature is warm, the sea swimming is delightful, the beaches and sights are free of crowds and getting a great table in the restaurants is more than achievable.

Have you just returned from the October half term break from a Croatia villa rental? If the answer is ‘yes’, then take pity on your colleagues! Don’t bore them (too much) with tales of long warm days, sunbathing, fabulous sea swimming, amazing food and festivals.

Your October Croatia holiday

This year the UK October school holiday was the week of 22nd October 2022. You will have had the best of the weather, with clear blue skies and regular daytime shade temperatures ranging 22-26 degrees Centigrade.

The sunsets, which have been enjoyed in the balmy evenings from restaurant terraces along the Croatian Adriatic coast, have been truly amazing. Accordingly, romance has been in the air for parents whilst their children have enjoyed making friends with local children. Local children escape their classrooms early enough to head for the beach, sports courts, and playgrounds.

Halloween has been in the air with pumpkins piled high in the shops and spooky decorations available to match. The restaurants in Croatia have been spoilt with the fare available this week. The squid fishing season was at its height (crispy deep fried squid is a delight) plus the fresh tuna has been amazing. Accompanying salads are at their best and the local honey, conserve and pickles are plentiful.

The sea retains its heat into the autumn, making sea swimming in the calm waters, a delight. The beaches were well used, and the ice cream kiosks were busy, but the atmosphere was relaxed with a grateful calm that the travel world is back to near normal.

For those in Dubrovnik, you will hopefully have enjoyed the moving but joyful free concert in the heart of the old town. It was held to celebrate and remember the 30-year anniversary of the liberation of the city (October 1992) following the siege on it in the Croatian War of Independence.

21st – 28th October 2023 – half term

October is a great time of year for a Croatia holiday, so why not book a Croatia villa rental early for next year?
