David Beckham Croatia holiday – The Beckhams back in Croatia for a second time… Following a very happy holiday in Croatia the year before, celebrity watchers will be very aware that David Beckham and family returned to holiday again on Lopud island just off the Dubrovnik riviera coast. It is one of the three Elafiti islands and has just one village and of course, the sought-after sandy beach called Sunj!
The David Beckham Croatia holiday of choice with his family has been to rent the former Franciscan Monastery on Lopud. Now a converted into a uber-luxury holiday residence, it is interestingly called ‘Lopud 1483’. With its own chef and attentive professional staff, the Beckhams will have a great Croatian holiday.

The island is a bit off the beaten track from your Dubrovnik villa holiday, but there are 4 ferries every day in the high season, plus water taxis from Dubrovnik, Trsteno and Orasac. Of course you could rent your own Croatia villa and on Lopud – you’ll find a selection of villas and restaurants there It is a car-free island, making it very relaxing, but you can hire bicycles or kayaks to get around, or hire a boat with skipper to discover hidden bays.
If you base yourself on Lopud for a David Beckham Croatia holiday, it is easy to have the best of both worlds and pop over to the mainland to discover stunning vibrant Dubrovnik old town with its history, marble streets and fabulous restaurants.
