What are the Best Things about Mlini?

Beautiful Mlini Beaches

There are lovely beaches all around Mlini Bay and which ever direction you go in from your villa, Mlini will delight you. There’s Mlini village beach just past the little harbour which has a contemporary beach bar and Restaurant Oleander, or there are three pretty coves just past the Pirate Bar (aka Gusar) including the pretty beach underneath Restaurant Puntizela. If you carry on around to Srebreno there’s a beautiful beach under the pine trees and then the beach scallops along the coastline until the end of the bay. Val di Breno is a beach club / lounge bar under the shade of the pine trees and just before it you have water sports quay with jet ski’s pedalo’s and an inflatable sea park in high season. Then you have the smaller beaches close to the Sheraton Hotel with various snack bars and restaurants just above on the Riva.

Restaurants & Bars Nearby

Mlini Bay and Srebreno just around the bay have a smorgasbord of delectable sea edge eateries for your enjoyment! We love Restaurant Puntizela just above Mlini Beach – with beautiful sea views, its perfect for an easy lunch before going to the beach. Head to Gusar (The Pirate Bar) for one of the local favourite haunts – set on the rocks by the sea, it does great cocktails, has great music and is basically very hard to leave! Walk to all Amenities from a Villa, Mlini

For a villa, Mlini is perfect. No need to hire a car here as everything is walkable! You can walk to beautiful coves and beaches and a good selection of bars and restaurants in lovely locations. As for Mlini Supermarkets, there is a very convenient, big supermarket called Konzum within walking distance. You also have all the local amenities you might need like bakeries, post office, pharmacy etc. Plus there’s a shopping mall with an H& M and other clothes shops.

Activities and Sights in the Bay

There’s old Mlini village which is charming and beautiful – lovely for an evening wander by the sea. And you can also kayak from Mlini to Supetar Island in around 40 minutes! Mlini also has jet ski’s pedalos and paddle boards if you want more of a serene activity. And there is the centuries old summer villa to discover from the Dubrovnik Republic, right at one end of Mlini Bay. There are some super walks from the bay, graded for all abilities.

If you want to find out more about Mlini, then join one of the daily free guided tours, running all the way from April until the end of October! Meet your guide under the large plane tree, in front of St. Roch’s Church by 9.30am and for 90 minutes you’ll be fascinated by the history and stories of old times. Dubrovnik Old Town 10 Minutes Away

A villa in Mlini is also a superb base for visiting the surrounding area. It’s an easy 10 minute Uber ride or drive into Dubrovnik Old Town. There’s also a good bus service running every 30 minutes between Mlini and Dubrovnik Old Town which takes around 10-15 minutes. It also goes in the opposite direction to Plat and Cavtat which are also nice to visit. Cavtat old town is beautiful and there is a picturesque walk around the peninsula there. Or in the other direction, wander around the sea edge and see all the local businesses at work, and little shops – including a second hand furniture and curios shop! There is also a little shell museum which worth popping into – a lovely diversion from the hot sun and beach!
