Large villa Croatia? A Croatian villa rental is a superb way to catch up

Life is ever more frenetic and, unless you pencil in that special time, another year goes by! A villa Croatia holiday gives you the freedom for everyone to be together or do their own thing. As the go-to place for many, Croatia is a top spot for holiday this year. The draw of Croatia is its pristine beauty. Specifically the untouched Mediterranean sea-edge villages that are dotted up and down the coast. With only a 2.5 hour flight from the UK and only a 50 minute boat hop to the nearest island, villas in Croatia are also easy to get to. But beware, the top villa locations book fast especially for big Croatia villas, so it pays to book well in advance.
For beach villas and coastal villa rental with plenty to see and do, we’d recommend focusing on southern Croatia (“Dalmatia”). With that in mind, choose breath-taking Dubrovnik and its sought-after nearby bays. Or perhaps hop over to beautiful Brac island villas near the beach for that slow pace of life. Equally, the Split Riviera has a myriad of pretty bays and convivial locations. Anywhere here puts you at the centre of the Dalmatian region for sightseeing and excursions.
Croatia has some great large villas…
Location is key when looking for a large Croatia villa that will suit everyone. Consequently, you need a location where everyone can get about to do their own thing. Combine this with a villa that has a variety of bedroom configurations – double and twin rooms. Besides that, the option of extra beds (e.g. sofa beds, fold out beds) solves issues of bed sharing too.
Large Dubrovnik Villas – The ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’
Villa Cavtat in sought after Cavtat Bay sleeps up to 15 and also has a 2 bedroom apartment next door for larger groups. Its walkable into the bay and beautiful old town with all its restaurants beaches and cafes. There are boat trips and a regular boat line into Dubrovnik Old Town plus other excursions available. This is a real find as there aren’t many villas n Cavtat. It always gets lovely reviews. For those seeking some excitement, a Zipwire is close and thrilling, or for those who seek serenity, head for close by Konavle !
Villa Paradise is a gorgeous 7-bedroom villa with views to die for. Very close to the beautiful bays of Zaton, Stikovica and Trsteno and within an easy 15-minute drive to Dubrovnik old town. It’s also just above the Sun Gardens Resort (about 5-10 minute walk to the hotel – was the Radisson Blu – so you have restaurants and facilities you can use there).
Or maybe two close-by villas would be more suitable, so you are not in each other’s pockets. See these 5-bedrooms villas, just a 10 minute walk between them: Summer Villa and Villa Nectara. They are in the same ownership and Summer Villa is used to hosting events, so you can all gather at that villa.
Brac Villas – Easy Access from Split for Families
In a very pretty location, right on the beach but near a super little town, Villa Nikolina in idyllic Mirca near Supetar Bay.
Large Brac Villa Tika sleeps 12-15 (please enquire) and currently has a good special offer – please enquire) is across the street from a magical little beach on the edge of Sumartin Bay. Fortunately it has a scrummy local bistro and a cocktail beach bar along the lane. Close to more beaches and the little town if any of the group want to explore. Easy to please everyone in the group!
Just along the lane is uber-luxurious Villa Mila, sleeping 12. Sea edge with concierge service and heated pool, it’s an idyllic spot. Happily you can rent out next door Villa Stara and Villa More to expand capacity to 28 guests!
Or head to Villa Bougainville in cool Bol Town to sleep 16 – certainly a good alternative to Hvar Town.
A budget option would be Villa Traith in elegant Sutivan. Sleeping up to 14 guests, it has lovely outdoor area with a cascade of pools and BBQ area. Sutivan on Brac is known for its excellent beaches, water sports and is a hub for cycling.
Split Villas – A Hub for Activities & Excursions
For a super, extra large villa within easy access of Split Airport and coastline, take a look at large Villa Leona XXL. It sleeps 20 guests over 10 bedrooms and its close to the sea with lovely views. It’s been purpose built for large groups and has a great pool, games room and BBQ area. The living spaces are large and very convivial with lots of room for everyone – this villa books out fast.
Another brilliantly located large family villa is Villa Talia in Vinisce Bay. New on, this is perfect for a multi-generational group. It’s within easy reach of beaches, restaurants in pretty Vinisce but also within easy striking distance of Trogir Old Town and Split itself.
For the very large family or group, see the aptly named Villa Leona XXL, which sleeps up to 20 in 10 bedrooms. There’s so much to do at the villa to keep everyone amused, but the beach and restaurants are just a short walk.
One of our most popular villas in Croatia is Palm Tree Villa – sleeping 12, it is situated on the beach in Slatine Bay, it is very close to Trogir Old Town and there’s a water taxi into Split Old Town. This villa is great if you have teenagers (or even if not!) – it has a games room on the beach with a pool table and table tennis table plus a table football on the terrace! Fortunately, no boredom here and plenty to keep everyone happy while everyone else relaxes… Perfect for family groups or a gang of friends. Villa Slatine is just along the lane opposite a super beach and beach bar/bistro too and sleeps 14 in total in flexible accommodation.
Looking for a Hen Do villa near Split? Have a look at Villa Olivia, but just as good for a large family group wanting to be near the City.
For a superb location right next to Trogir Old Town, check out Villa Light & Villa Bright – these 5 bedroom villas, sleeping 10 guests each are perfect of you have a large group and need to keep everyone happy. Close to town, sightseeing, beaches and islands, these two villas have a lot going for them.
Hvar Villas – Croatia’s Sunniest Island
On sought after Hvar Island, Villa Caesar is a stones throw from the buzz of Hvar Town but with all the relaxation you need for the day time. Sleeping 16 it’s a great villa for larger groups.
