An Ancient Walled Town, Motovun has Wonderful Views

Motovun is a medieval, walled little town up on a hill top with picturesque views out across the surrounding countryside – the central area of Istria has been likened to Tuscany due to its rolling hills and old towns – do find a spot to sit and have a drink and just enjoy the views. Istria is also famous for its truffles and gastronomy so be sure to visit if you happen to be nearby when they host the truffle festival. It’s a nice place to stop for a leisurely lunch. Motovun also holds an annual film festival.
