Absolutely not to be missed, one of the most superb events we have been to, the Redbull World Series Cliff Diving event at the iconic 16th century Mostar Old Bridge is pumped with atmosphere and adrenline and is just a superb experience. The divers move amongst the crowd as they climb back up to the top of the old bridge every time and scale the dizzying heights of the tower built on top of the already eye-wateringly high old bridge. It’s barely possible to look over the edge anyway, let alone to imagine how high it looks from where the men are diving from – 28 metres. Women are now diving too (from the actual bridge – 26 metres) so it’s altogether just impressive.

For extra awe, check out how cold the water is… about 11 degrees celcius in the summer, and at 5 metres deep, there’s no margin for error either. diving Vibrating bass booms out over the sound system and the buzzing of drones filming the event all add to the atmosphere, not to mention the 20,000 crowd of locals and tourists alike who turn out for the event.

The “Stari Most” (Old Bridge) has a tradition of diving that stretches back almost 450 years so this event holds pecial interest on the Cliff Diving circuit and is not to be missed.

The event usually takes place in August or September.
