Special occasion – Surprise birthday meal – Or just so that you can relax with family and friends – Hiring a chef for the evening is a wonderful way to enjoy your holiday in Croatia and sample fine local produce and cuisine in the comfort of your own villa.
When you finally jet off on a summer holiday, it’s one of the rare times you can really relax. Those balmy summer evenings after blissful days on the beach are just heavenly. And what better way to make the most of having your own sumptuous villa than to have your own private chef wine and dine you? This is a great way to kick back and enjoy time with friends and family without having to worry about cooking or tidying up. The service includes buying ingredients, preparation and presentation of food, setting the table, serving, and clearing/washing up. So all you have to do is sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy!
Our local staff in Dubrovnik can arrange talented, local chefs on your behalf to come and cook for your group. With suggested menu’s on hand, designed to make the most of the fresh, seasonal local ingredients, organic meat and fresh fish, seasonal fruit and vegetables, Croatian truffles, fine wines from nearby vineyards – the list is mouthwatering. Of course, if you have your own menu in mind, feel free to ask us to create your own bespoke menu. It certainly is an interesting evening – Chef evenings are a real favourite with Croatia Gems guests and feedback is always great. One of the most popular requests is actually to have a Croatian style BBQ so that guests can sit and watch the chef prepare food al fresco and engage in a bit of interesting chat about the food and wine! An altogether wholesome affair!
