Croatia villa to Rent with Grown Up Kids? Here’s our top 5

by Saron Lease 1st April 2024

Villas in Croatia are a great way to spend some quality time with grown up kids and their partners

Quality time with grown up kids and their partners, is a joy! As such, a Croatia villa to rent in a delectable location is the perfect way to spend time together. Best of all though, you can still all do your own thing too. Accordingly, the key is to rent a villa in Croatia in a suitable location so you can use it as a base. Then, after a day of sightseeing either together or apart, you can all meet up for dinner at the villa!

Croatia villa to Rent? Here are our 5 favourite villas perfect for a Croatia villa holiday with grown up kids:

Dubrovnik Riviera

We would thoroughly recommend Villa Turquoise which has 3 en-suite bedrooms (2 doubles and one which can also be a twin). Additionally, there’s a sofa bed and single fold up bed for the living room for extra flexibility with sleeping arrangements. Best of all, the house has fabulous sea views from every room, together with a great dining terrace for eating alfresco. It was newly renovated recently, so has contemporary styling throughout. Since then it’s had rave reviews. In fact, one lady came back to the villa for a 2nd time! Consequently, it’s very popular with family groups with grown up kids as it works very well. As everything is walkable, you really don’t need a car here, and everyone has freedom to come and go.

Mlini is a very good location for a Croatia villa to rent, so a good choice we’d say. This seaside village has a good range of water sports on offer and a variety of beaches. Besides that it has a plethora of restaurants, café bars and a good-sized supermarket. Plus there are 4 children’s play areas dotted around the bay, all within an easy walk from the villa. If you want to keep fit on holiday, there’s also an adult exercise area in the shade of the Mediterranean pines. So, you even have a great sea view whilst you work those abs!

Mlini also has the water taxi from the harbour, plus there’s also a good bus service that serves Dubrovnik and lovely Cavtat. Happily, there are lots of excursions on offer within easy reach – either by bus, car or a short taxi ride away.

Split Riviera

Villa Lendra is at Okrug Gornji on Ciovo. Ciovo is an island but is connected to the mainland by a couple of bridges. It has 3 bedrooms, spectacular views, well equipped, lots of amenities. It’s just 200m from the beach and the water taxi into UNESCO protected stunning Trogir old town. Consequently, there’s no need for a car here!

Brac Island

On Brac Island, Villa Sinatra is almost sea edge and in pretty Puntinak area of Sumartin Bay . The bay is known for hidden coves and beaches – lovely. As there is a beach bar and restaurant on the same lane, you don’t need to move far from the villa! However, a short walk will take you to the little town of Sumartin itself with more restaurants and beaches, grocery store etc.

We’d  really recommend looking at Brac Island and would suggest Sumartin as it’s lovely with a really authentic feel. It has a nice buzz about it and is has everything you need and there’s lots to explore in the vicinity. You can hire bikes (electric one’s too), join bike tours, hire jet skis and other boat rentals, water skiing etc. There are also some great places to visit by boat too! You can hop to Makarska very easily which is another great place to visit and nice day trip (ferry from Sumartin itself). Bol Town is nearby which is well worth a visit. There is also Mount Vidova Gora to climb with smashing views or plenty of other activities.

Korcula Island

Villa Lumbarda is tucked away in the beautiful sandy bay of Lumbarda on glorious Korcula Island. You will love its breath-taking views and spacious interiors. This Croatian villa is arranged as two x 2-bedroom apartments and it also has a gym and jacuzzi. A lovely bonus is that it includes breakfast served in a restaurant in nearby Korcula town. Korcula Island is the supposed birth place of Marco Polo, according to Croatians. There is much history here that you may not know and plenty to explore on the island! Another good reason to choose a Croatia villa to rent in Lumbarda is that it is also the home of famous Grk Wine – well worth a try from the wine maker’s family vineyard.

Another good reason to choose a villa on Korcula is that the island is drivable from Dubrovnik and nearby Peljesac Peninsula is within easy striking distance. The whole area is amazingly scenic and is the wine region of southern Croatia. Do try Dingac and Posip wines! Amazingly, Peljesac is filled with vineyards and pretty bays and beaches. Also, Ston is a must visit for its oyster beds and fresh famous shell fish. Well know for wind surfing and kite surfing, Viganj is great if you have some more active family members. And Loviste is a lovely jaunt too! With its Illyrian history and beautiful calm bay – make sure you stop at Gordans sea food restaurant on the sea edge.

Hvar Island

For something a bit special, head over to Hvar Island’s Villa Sky – a three bedroom, luxury villa within walking distance of Hvar Town. Be reassured. the whole family will be satisfied with this ‘please-all’ location. Hvar island has much to offer. From nightclubs to smart restaurants, water sports to boat tours, and striking contemporary villas to historic buildings and UNESCO protected features.
