The Slatine Bay area sits facing Split and Trogirs mainland about 10-15 minutes drive from Trogir old town and is the last place on this side of the island meaning that it’s close to everything but has more of an unspoilt feel. The Slatine Bay area encompasses a more built up centre and also houses and beaches that scallop along the coast where there are a handful of restaurants, cafe’s and little beach bars. There is a water taxi from Slatine centre and Arbanija that you can catch to Trogir Old Town and the Old Town of Split at regular intervals throughout the day which is very handy and a bit of a perk as not all places have this and it’s lovely not to have to jump in the car in the hot summer – sea travel is much nicer! The beaches in the Slatine Bay area are lovely too – the centre of Slatine has a long stretch of beach and further along is stunning Kava Beach – uncommercialised, it doesn’t have many facilities but if you are looking for clear turquoise water and a beautiful location, this is lovely. The Arbanija end of Slatine Bay has more scalloping beaches along the beach road.
