Sveti Jakov (St.Jacob) Beach is popular with locals and goes pretty much unnoticed by tourists in the main being around the coast a little bit from the Old Town of Dubrovnik. WHile most people head for the main old town Banje Beach, Sveti Jakov has just as stunning a view of the old town. It is situated at the eastern side of Dubrovnik Old Town, about a mile away, in a protected little bay. It has its own restaurant and cafe bar and you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas. To get to the beach, go on foot or take the no. 5 bus to the last stop – the beach is few hundred yards away once you get off the bus. Once at the church of St Jakov, go down the steps to the beach.
