OVERVIEW
Donji Humac is a little village is located in the middle of the island on a southern hillside and it has become well known over the centuries for its stone masonry and decoration which was a skill originally started to protect the village against invading pirates. There are several stone quarries in the vicinity which supply local stonemasons as well as a gallery showcasing eye-catching stone carving by the renowned artists of the Jaksic family and also to learn a bit more about Brac stone which is famous all over the world.
In a well known local tavern, you’ll tuck into a two course dinner of the best lamb on Brac Island! Prepared in the traditional way, this is a treat; you will have roast lamb, side dish, salad and desert as well as half a litre of wine per person.
