Tucked away, just a short drive from the sea (8km), Villa Casamont is a lovely 5 bedroom property with large garden pool and playground.
Description
Beautiful house with pool situated in a preety village location just 15km from the centre of Rovinj and a 5 minute drive/taxi from romantic Bale.
The villa has five bedrooms (two doubles and three twins), five bathrooms (three with baths and two with showers and a separate WC). The main house has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and there is a separate studio. Outside there are two lovely terraces a summer kitchen, swimming pool and a large garden area.
Rovinj abounds with restaurants of all kinds: from pizzeria (try Roma in the very centre), to slow food restaurants – go to ‘Monte’, near St Euphemia church which will take you to the centre with a selection of shops. Rovinj and its surroundings offer many attractions for sightseeing: do not miss the opportunity to visit the Local Museum and Batana house, a museum dedicated to a unique boat which originated in Rovinj. Do not miss walking up to the St Euphemia church yard – from the belfry the views are superb and you can even see Venice on a sunny day.
Also, it is worth talking a walk to Zlatni Rt (Golden Cape), a protected forest park with tall pine trees and beautiful pebble beaches. If you want to spend a day on a beach, Golden Cape is the best choice, as you can sunbathe on comfortable loungers which can be rent on the beach or relax in the shade of the pine trees when it gets too hot. There are also bars with snacks by the beaches restaurants.
Beautiful Bale is the closest town to drive to shop and eat with its red roof’s and narrow cobbled streets surrounding the 15th century castle – it’s just so full of atmosphere. Perched on a hill just 5km from the west coast it’s surrounded by olive groves and vineyards it’s been an inspiration to artists and musicians for years and it’s history pre dates the Romans. Different exhibitions and fetes take part through the year, one of the most popular being the “Last Minute Open Jazz Festival” Restaurants to try – Kamene , La Grisa and Dado to name but a few.
If you fancy a day on the beach leave the car ( Bale has free parking and also secure parking for a small charge ) and hop on the tourist train which is free – and it takes around 30 minutes to San Polo beach then it goes on to Paleo Park another 10 mins – opened in 2019, located near the famous paleontological sites in the Mon Perin campsite in Bale, is a mix of water amusement park and an educational facility which will promote this archaeological site on the coastline of Bale.
The 16,200m2 water park features a dinosaur-shaped pool, relaxation pool, children’s pool, family pool, hydro-massage pool, hot baths, jacuzzi, indoor restaurant, covered outdoor bar area, sunbathing area and a souvenir shop. There are also various-sized replica dinosaur models around the park showcasing the fascinating history of dinosaurs.
Back at your beautiful house with pool you will find that there is a famous vineyard on your doorstep – Winery San Tomasso – you can book one of their tours where they will guide you and tell you the history and the process for their wine making the Merlot is lovely as is the Malvasia and they usually provide delicious food to compliment the wines.
