VILLA CHA CHA – SPLITSKA BAY, BRAC ISLAND
Villa Cha Cha is set within a small group of villas set on the sunny east coast on the island of Brac – surrounded by Mediterranean plants, olive trees and conifers, it’s the perfect place to chill out.
Description
Villa Cha Cha is a pretty, airy villa with pool and sea views to die for from its roof terrace.
The villa is in a great location – the bay is lovely and laid back, with just a local shop and a couple of restaurants, and with the ferry port of Supetar just 6 km away, it’s ideal. Here there is a larger supermarket, cinema, restaurants and craft shops and numerous leisure activities.
With ferries departing from Supetar to Split Old town 14 times a day, it’s easy to hop on as a foot passenger like the locals do. Explore the street markets galleries and museums there, before having dinner out at one of the many restaurants and catching a later ferry back.
The fully air-conditioned villa is located in the middle of this small development, and extends over 2 floors. On the ground floor is an airy spacious living room with a comfortable sofa set (sofa can be folded out to accommodate 2 people) and Sat TV/ CD player. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, electric cooker, kettle, fridge-freezer and coffee machine. There is WiFi throughout the house.
On the ground floor there is also a guest bathroom and an internal staircase. Around the living area, several doors open to the terrace and garden. Here you can enjoy a lovely outdoor dining area. Next to it is the pool (approx 8 x 3m) with deck chairs for relaxation. From here there is an external staircase to the upper floor and access to the roof terrace.
Upstairs there are 3 comfortable bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Each double bedroom is equipped with a queen-size bed and a large wardrobe. From the bedroom you reach a large balcony where you can also relax. Via the inner staircase one reaches the spacious roof terrace which offers a breath taking view of the sea and the surrounding area. With deck chairs and a corner covered with a pergola, the magical sunset can be enjoyed with a glass of local wine.
The way the villas have been planned at the resort offers seclusion and privacy when you are outside (terraces & gardens) from other villas in the complex.
Gorgeous Brac island is the largest in central Dalmatia. Brac Island has craggy shores and hidden beaches, but also boasts wonderful beaches, such as the famous Zlatni Rat (Golden Tongue), considered by many the most beautiful beach on the Adriatic. It is close to Bol, at the foot of Vidova Gora. The beach is a natural phenomenon and according to the movement of the wind and waves, its tip moves to the left or right. Zlatni Rat is one of the best Adriatic wind-surfing locations. A free-style competition, which has become part of local tradition, is held here every year and now forms part of the official World Cup calendar.
There is plenty to explore either by boat or perhaps by bike – hugely popular with cyclists for the last few years, there are so many tracks both coastal and inland to explore. The sea here is also clear as a bell so very popular with divers. body board enthusiasts and try sea kayaking too – great fun! And when your exploring is over just return to your pretty airy villa with pool, open a bottle of the delicious local wine and watch the sun set over the bay from your lovely roof terrace before heading out to dinner in one of the villages restaurants for dinner Marija for Pizzas and Vala for grills.
Or take the road ( or an Uber ) to Postira in the next bay and try one of the restaurants there or take the mountain road from there up to Dol & treat yourself to some lovely views and delicious food at Kastil Gospodnetic – it’s a working farm that has a restaurant so locally grown produce in abundance and also they make their own wine – booking is advised as they only have a dozen tables and it’s popular with locals as well as visitors to the island. If you want something special eg the lamb under the bell or the Octopus Peka they usually need 24 hours notice as Peka dishes are very slowly cooked for tenderness and flavour. Service is fantastic and usually includes a tour of the ‘Castle’.
Nearby Supetar also has some great restaurants – Palute is a favourite for its excellent mixed grills for two (and its delicious fish soup!), and Roso’s for the biggest tastiest pizzas we have ever seen and a new addition Chopstix for Sushi!
