Villa Desina is one of three contemporary properties tucked away just 300m from the sea in Banjole just 500m from the beach.

If you’re looking for reasonably priced villa accommodation have a look at Villa Desina – found in a small group of three attached villas with pools just 300m from the beach in Banjole, a little fishing village on the outskirts of Pula.
The villas are lovely and airy – they have three bedrooms, a double, a twin and the third is bunk beds. There is a family bathroom with shower and downstairs is light and modern open plan living with a kitchen, dining area and living space with LCD TV.
Outside there is a small pool and outside table & chairs. Banjole beach is just 300m away and if you want to cycle, the beach/resort of Centinara is just a 10 minute walk with bike hire, boat hire, kayaks etc, as well as an aqua park and the water is quite shallow.
Banjole, a pretty fishing village with a naturally protected port, was established in Roman times and today has 700 residents. The settlement is located on a small peninsula and is well populated by fishing families. For this reason, even today, Banjole has the best seafood restaurants. (A well-known fact is that the best fish is prepared by fishermen themselves), but if you want to prepare seafood dishes yourself then head to the small harbour at daybreak, wait for the fishermen to return from sea and buy the freshly caught fish directly from them.
Nature has endowed this region with many small coves and peninsulas, as well as natural beaches, and people added such features as tennis courts, hiking and bicycle paths, motor and sailboat rentals and other water sports.
Nearby Pula ( 3km) has markets and shops enough to satisfy anyone , and can offer everything from a Segway tour of the old town to a new Aquarium.
There are loads of beaches and loads of restaurants to try in this area. Aqua parks for the children can also be found on most of the beaches – head inland too for a change – the scenery is very like Tuscany with rolling hills , olive groves and vineyards. Here you will find wild truffles and mushrooms as well as local game, and of course award winning wines to surprise your taste buds.
Also nearby is bustling Medulin with it’s sandy beach and fair ground which comes alive every night, great to have a taxi or bus in for a meal and a wander before you return to your little retreat
You can also hire bikes – there are miles upon miles of cycle tracks , great way to explore the coast and tire the kids out stop for a simple lunch at a local konoba , the price of food is very reasonable in Croatia and the kids love it as so much is based on Italian Pizza and pasta and of course the ice cream, which is delicious and comes in so many flavours it’s hard to choose.
