A 6 bedroom villa is situated just above sought after Mlini Bay, Villa Lumiere is a Dubrovnik large villa close to beaches & restaurants. It’s near everything with wonderful views from the lovely terrace by the pool!
Description
Villa Lumiere is a six bedroom villa with glorious views situated just above the village of Mlini and about 10 minutes’ walk from the sea, so it’s close to the beach, restaurants and everything need for your holiday. This Dubrovnik large villa is also only about 10 minutes drive from Dubrovnik Old Town.
*ELEVATOR TO BEACH – A great plus for this villa is that there is a very handy lift (elevator) from the reception at the nearby Hotel Astarea down to Mlini Village so no need to walk the whole way down or back up. There is also a pedestrian crossing at the main road.
Mlini Bay is a very pretty bay with a little harbour and great beaches, café/bars and sea edge restaurants so this is a great place for family or group holidays. There are beautiful beaches in Mlini Bay and Mlini has a good selection of restaurants. The old town of Dubrovnik is so easy to visit for a special evening meal but it’s really nice to stay in the village too. There are boats from Mlini out to the little islands off the coast of Dubrovnik which have hidden coves and wonderful kayaking, snorkelling, jet skis and swimming nearby.
Accommodation
The villa is accessed from the ground floor (steps up from the car parking area) – here you will find a lovely area – living room, dining room, full kitchen and also a double bedroom (en-suite) + a separate WC.
The upper floor reached by an internal staircase and is set out as a separate apartment with three king size bedrooms (one en-suite) shower room as well as full living/dining area with kitchen – this space is huge with lovely picture windows overlooking the bay perfect at sunset. This really is a villa with glorious views.
The attic level is reached by an external staircase and is set out as a two king size bedrooms and two bathrooms. This space is huge with a lovely terrace overlooking the bay, so perfect for soaking in the amazing sunsets.
All rooms have air conditioning, and there is free parking for three cars.
At the front of this Dubrovnik large villa there is a lovely infinity pool, and a summer kitchen /dining area with sweeping views of the bay, perfect for lounging about and family meals. The garden is full of Mediterranean plants with orange lemon and olive trees. The ground floor kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, cooker and hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, ice-maker, mixer, cooking utensils, cutlery, plates and glassware. There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine.

- Beach: approx. 10 minutes walk (5 minute drive) down the hill into Mlini Bay – 5 minutes’ walk to the upper part of Mlini (there is a main road to cross to get to the path down to the beach but then it’s an approx. 5 minute walk down a path and steps, to Mlini Bay). From there you can go to the pretty harbour and village centre, restaurants, café bars & water taxi, and meander along the path and explore more beaches. It is a longer walk back up to the villa as it is uphill.

“Hi Helen, We really enjoyed our stay at the Villa Lumiere, thank you.
It was quite funny really. We shared the villa with a couple of friends Barry and Deena and we tossed for the rooms on arrival.
We got the room downstairs and our friends were upstairs. They spent the week moaning about how hot it was in their room at night and how they couldn’t sleep and we were saying how happy we were with the temperature in ours due to the air conditioning. On the Saturday, the day before our departure, Barry found the air con controls in his room. Deena was not very happy and commented upon his competence.
Overall the villa was great – taxis were easy to find. If we went back again, I don’t think we would bother with a hire car. Regards” Mark, July 2015
