Smaller family villas that have the touch of the luxury we’d all like, are surprisingly hard to find. But this is one such villa in Croatia – Villa Marissa is at Okrug Gornji on the Split Riviera.
Well-equipped Villa
We are often asked for smaller, high end family villas and smaller luxury villas with pools with the many villas in Croatia these days it can be hard to identify a short list. With that in mind we thought it would be useful to showcase this particular villa which gets consistently good reviews from our guests.
Villa Marissa is a modern 3-bedroom detached villa in Croatia with sea views, which sleeps up to 8 guests. As well as having a super private pool, the villa comes with plenty of amenities. Guests also have a gym, sauna, hot tub, BBQ, children’s play area and boat mooring. There is also a welcome shaded terrace for al-fresco dining in the heat of the day.
As you would expect, this Croatia holiday villa has air-conditioning throughout, a fully equipped modern kitchen, and en-suite bedrooms. It has an open plan living, dining, kitchen space which opens onto the pool and dining terrace. The pool is great for tiny tots with its wide gradual steps down, giving plenty of scope to paddle in the shallows, perhaps before becoming more adventurous as the holiday goes on.
Alfresco Villa Living
We like to think you are guaranteed a relaxing Croatia holiday at this villa in Croatia! It gets great reviews. There are 4 terraces from which guests can relax and enjoy spectacular sea views. There is the pool terrace, a shaded outside dining terrace, the 2nd floor jacuzzi terrace, and the roof terrace.
In all, this new-build villa with private pool provides a touch of luxury in a small family villa. Relax, cook up a storm on the BBQ, kids entertained, enjoy the sunsets with a glass of something chilled. Another added bonus of this villa is that the villa owner can offer boat hire with skipper and take you out on a super day out to see the coastline. In our opinion, this is well worth doing as the Croatian coastline is famous for its beauty and many islands. A local skipper knows all the best places and will ensure you have an optimal day out! Boat around the Island of Ciovo, see Trogir Old Town from the sea, and head out to the Krknjasi Lagoon on Drvenik Island nearby.
Excellent Location
Villa Marissa is a Croatian villa in a quiet residential area of lively Okrug Gornji, with its beaches, restaurants, and beach bars. It is on Ciovo, well-connected to the mainland by two short bridges, so you get island life, but without the ferries! The smaller of these takes you to Trogir and the other to the airport and Split town. It’s in a great location for getting into stunning UNESCO Trogir old town, a gem of a car-free enclave, and to Split with its old town comprising Diocletian’s Palace which opens out onto the palm-lined Riva. Split is the gateway to the islands, all within short ferry rides. This villa in Croatia is in a great position for excursions to cultural hotspots, hidden coves and the national parks, so the best of all worlds.
