Villa Samba is within a small group of villas set on the sunny east coast of the island of Brac – surrounded by Mediterranean plants, olive trees and conifers, it’s the perfect place to chill out.
Description
Villa Samba is a bright and lovely villa with pool for up to 8 people, so ideal for a family or a group of couples. The village is so pretty and very uncommercial with just a local shop and a couple of restaurants in the bay, but with the ferry port of Supetar just 6 km away. Here there is a larger supermarket, cinema, restaurants and craft shops and numerous leisure activities. With ferries departing from Supetar to Split Old Town 14 times a day, it’s easy to hop on as a foot passenger and explore the street markets and museums there, before having dinner out and catching a later ferry back.
Fully air-conditioned, this bright and lovely villa with pool is located on the upper part of the little development and is spread over 2 floors. On the ground floor there is a spacious living room with a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. A modern sofa set invites you to relax and unwind. Should you need additional beds the sofa can be extended to a double bed for 2 people.
There is SAT TV, a CD player and Wifi throughout the house. On the ground floor there is also a guest WC and an inner staircase. From the living area several doors open onto the terrace and garden. Here you can enjoy the outside dining area, protected from the sun by a pergola. Next to it is the pool (8 x 3m) with sun loungers.
Upstairs there are 3 comfortable bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and a shower. Each double room is equipped with queen-size beds and a large wardrobe. The spacious roof terrace which offers a breath taking view of the sea and the surrounding area, is reached via the internal staircase. A pergola gives cover from the sun, the perfect place to enjoy a glass of local wine as the sun goes down.
The villas have been planned to offer seclusion and privacy when you are outside (terraces & gardens) from other villas on the development. This gorgeous island is the largest in central Dalmatia. Brac Island has craggy shores and hidden beaches, but also boasts wonderful beaches, such as Zlatni Rat (Golden Tongue), considered by many the most beautiful beach on the Adriatic, is close to Bol, at the foot of Vidova Gora. The beach is a natural phenomenon and according to the movement of the wind and waves, its tip moves to the left or right. Zlatni Rat is one of the best Adriatic wind-surfing locations. A free-style competition, which has become part of local tradition, is held here every year and now forms part of the official World Cup calendar.
There is plenty to explore either by boat or perhaps by bike – hugely popular with cyclists for the last few years, there are so many tracks both coastal and inland to explore. The sea here is also clear as a bell so very popular with divers. body board enthusiasts and try sea kayaking too – great fun!
And when your exploring is over just return to your bright and lovely villa with pool – open a bottle of the delicious local wine and watch the sun set over the bay from your lovely roof terrace before heading out to dinner in one of the villages restaurants for dinner Marija for Pizzas and Vala for grills. Or if you head in to Postira and then turn off into the hills to Dol treat yourself to some lovely views and delicious food at Kastil Gospodnetic – it’s a working farm that has a restaurant so locally grown produce in abundance. They also make their own wine ! booking is advised as they only have a dozen tables and it’s popular with locals as well as visitors to the island. If you want something special eg the lamb under the bell or the octopus Peka, they usually need 24 hours notice. Service is fantastic and usually includes a tour of the ‘Castle’.
Supetar is also great for restaurants – loads of choice from Palute for their fab grills and delicious fish soup, Roso’s for the largest pizzas we have ever seen and a new addition this season, Chopstix for Sushi!
