Villa Tonca lies a little outside the peaceful little village of Mocici, offering accommodation for a relaxing holiday with absolute privacy, yet with easy reach of a beach and all the sight seeing you could wish for.
Description
This is a perfect retreat for families so near the sea just 1 km to the nearest beach. Short drive/taxi to Cavtat for it’s restaurants and atmosphere and then escape back to the idyll of Villa Tonca. For the more active family there is a hiking trail to town takes around an hour to walk – there are also bikes for your use.
Inside the main living area combines a lounge diner with a separate fully equipped kitchen. There are three bedrooms (2 with double beds and a third with 3 single beds ) and 2 bathrooms: the master bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with a spacious shower cubicle. The second, separate bathroom, shared by the other two bedrooms, is fitted the same as the en-suite bathroom. A cot can be provided on request and plenty of bed linen and hand towels are provided.
The bedrooms and living room have access to a big sunny balcony with amazing views. In the garden there is a private pool surrounded by sun loungers and parasols. The traditional stone grill and the roofed terrace next to it, has an outdoor summer kitchen, perfect for those al fresco meals. The pool can also be illuminated at night, giving a lovely atmosphere. There is a restaurant (Domestico) just a short walk away which gets rave reviews from locals and tourists alike – great food beautifully served and at half the price you would pay in Dubrovnik – also a small grocery shop nearby 300m and the bus stop is 200m away.
You can use the reliable wireless Internet connection in the villa free of charge.
Konalve is one of our favourite areas, combining not just the lovely coast line , but miles of forests and vineyards heading right up into the mountains with gorgeous little villages and amazing places to eat.
If you are more inclined to have some fast paced action, just a short drive away there is a new activity park with abseiling, tree walks, ATV buggies and a great restaurant too! Nearby also activities such as horse riding,etc.
A car is recommended during your stay and there are secure parking spaces right in front of the house. There are also bicycles for your use free of charge during your stay, so you can explore the many trails accessible from the villa. We can also arrange trips on request and free transfers to and from the airport. If you are interested in this, please indicate it at the time of booking.
You don’t need to leave the village but if you do fancy getting out and about to explore the Dubrovnik Riviera, then everything is within easy reach. Cavtat Bay, a charming sea edge old town with a delightful selection of restaurants and cafe bars is 10 minutes drive away and of course, the ‘must-see’ Old Town of Dubrovnik is only a 40 min drive away. You could even water taxi in from Cavtat right into Dubrovnik Old Town’s harbour!
Your holiday villa is about 1km from the nearest beach (Zarubaca beach) with crystal clear water, (a 30-minute walk or a short bike ride). For walkers just 50m from the villa there is a hiking trail to Cavtat (an hour’s walk) and Cilipi (1.5 hours). It is about 3km to the little harbour town of Cavtat with its range of shops, colourful markets and gastronomy. The Old town of Dubrovnik is about 16km.
