Zadar is a vibrant town bursting with culture, history and also more modern architecture from more recent times – for example, the Roman Forum on one hand and the modern day ‘Sea Organ’ each have their own place in the town and draw interested visitors to see them every day!

Of course, there’s a whole coastline to explore too though and you may prefer one of the more relaxing, seaside, holiday towns and villages instead – perhaps Vodice or Pirovac? Or why not stay on an island – the Zadar Riviera has many… Dugi Otok (Long Island) is one of the best ones to stay on – home of Sakuran Beach, supposedly one of the most beautiful in the area, there are some wonderful spots to explore or relax in here. You can day trip over for the day if you’d rather stay on the mainland, there are lots of options, ferries go frequently. Zadar villas in sea edge locations makes for the ideal base to explore this rich and diverse area.

The Kornati Islands are also a major draw for this area. Visit Telascic Bay and the impressive surrounding coastline. The larger island of Pag is also on the radar as well as several smaller islands like Ugljan, Molat , Pasman, and Premuda. On the mainland there is also the Paklenica National Park, the Velebit mountains and the famously beautiful Plitvice Lakes are within easy reach here. also There’s no shortage of activities and day trips to do in this area.
