Villa Cavtat in sought after Cavtat Bay is one of our favourite villas for large groups and is highly recommended!

All in all, the villa is excellent! “Just back from a great week at Villa Cavtat. There were 10 family members, ranging from 9 years old up to grand parents in their 70’s and everyone had a fantastic stay… The facilities in the villa are excellent, all 5 bedrooms are en suite. The whole villa is well equipped with all you need. There are choices of where to eat – 2 tables set up outside and one next to the kitchen. The 4 grand children spent lots of time in the private swimming pool, which also has a nice roofed sitting area at the side for the adults to relax in. A short walk takes you into the centre/marina area in Cavtat, where there are lots of things to do – river taxi to Dubrovnik was good fun. All in all, the villa is excellent!”

Cavtat is the best place for villas in Dubrovnik with two large bays to explore. You can wander all around Cavtat Bay via the pretty peninsula and coastal path. Discover little coves and swimming spots along the way along with sea edge eateries. The old village of Cavtat has a picturesque little harbour and quaint cafe bars and bistros perfect for an aperitif, or a spot of lunch! There is a good dose of atmosphere along with a great selection of Cavtat restaurants so plenty of choice for dinner as well.

Water Taxis, Boats & Excursions from Cavtat

Just like Mlini, you can make use of the frequent water taxis into Dubrovnik Old Town, Plat or Mlini. There are also plenty of excursions on offer  to the nearby Elafiti Islands just off the Dubrovnik coast. Cavtat Bay is a very picturesque and authentic location to have a villa holiday. But it’s also close to all the sights for a Dubrovnik holiday. Everything is on your doorstep here without being over busy.

Cavtat is easy to get around from with a super local boat line and very reasonable Uber prices. In fact, it’s easy to get around and doable without a car in Cavtat. Many people use the frequent Number 10 bus which takes you to Dubrovnik Old Town and other locations along the coast. If you’re intent on staying closer to home, it’s easy to wander from your villa down into the bay. There you can enjoy the many swimming spots, boats, water sports and sea-edge cafes and restaurants. There are also grocery shops and quirky little boutiques for a bit of shopping. Everything is very available and practical for a family holiday.

Discover little Beaches & Pretty Swimming Spots in Cavtat

Cavtat beaches are some of the prettiest Dubrovnik beaches and some of the best swimming spots in the area. There are various little coves and beaches all around the large bay from the old town of Cavtat around to just past Restoran Ludo More other side of the peninsula. Or head around to the hotel beaches on the other side of Cavtat. Most of the beaches are right next to the seaside promenade or at least near a cafe so you can easily have a break from the sun and beach for some refreshment! The sea is calm and turquoise and perfect for a dip.
