Vis Villas

Escape to Vis Island – low key and chilled out, Vis is a little island with lots of soul and an eclectic mix of influences. Vis villas area a treat – a beautiful coastline, it is a marine lovers haven – diving, snorkeling, kayaking – check out its enchanting blue water caves or swim in an ex-Yugoslav cold war submarine pen. The island has spadefuls of atmosphere, pretty Venetian architecture, and wonderful, sea edge restaurants serving delicious local fare.

A slightly longer ferry hop from Split Old Town than the other Dalmatian islands but certainly well worth it and actually part of its appeal. Vis villas are an intriguing option if you want to get a really interesting angle on Croatia! Vis Island has a unique character of its own. Left very untouched after being used as a Yugoslav military base during the Cold War, the public were not allowed to visit until the 1950s. The result is a delightfully relaxing island escape with pristine scenery and minimal development. A paradise for yachts, it’s an exclusive haven for those in the know – hidden bays, beautiful beaches and an intriguing past leave lots to be explored and discovered. Relax or be as active as you want – there are plenty of things to do on Vis Island. Explore the many pretty bays or wander among the quaint streets of the salt bleached old towns of Komiza and Vis Town. Visit the archeological museum to discover the rich Roman and Greek heritage of the island and eat at one of the scrummy local restaurants  by the sea. What’s not to like about Vis villas…
