Villa Overview
Villa Silente’s location is amazing, right on the sea edge on the beautiful Island of Vis which is currently famous for the filming location of the latest Mamma Mia film, but also for being Croatia’s most far-flung, inhabited island.This beautiful location beside the beach has a great rustic feel, making the most of its location with a terrace overlooking the beach where you can make the most of for your al-fresco dining. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and an extra single bed should you need it, and a second bedroom with two single beds, so perfect for the children, plus you have a single sofa bed in the living room if you need flexibility in sleeping arrangements. The villa has a bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine, plus you have air-conditioning, free wi-fi and parking.
As well as the shaded terrace outside, you also have an extra shower, BBQ and small konoba (summer kitchen) with an additional fridge, so you don’t need to go far from soaking up the beautiful landscape to grab that cold beer!

Location Overview
Vis Island has a fascinating history, remaining almost untouched since it was a military base for Tito’s Yugoslav army during the cold war, where no one was allowed to go until the 1950s – however now you can go and find ex-submarine pens and swim, dive or kayak amongst them! The island is also well known for its pretty ‘Stiniva Beach’, Komiza town and the ‘Blue Cave’, although the whole coastline is fantastic.You don’t need to be tied to the villa or the lovely beach as there is a lot to see and do on Vis island. You can hire bikes in Vis town or Komiza (it’s about 28km to circuit the island, but don’t forget to add in time to master the hills!) or a scooter might be easier to explore the island. Perhaps visit Tito’s military submarine tunnel and the many underground tunnels on the island, as well as the natural caves, also Fort George and the Archaeological Museum. Another place not to be missed is a visit to Biševo island with its Blue Cave, accessed from Komiza town. Because of its war history Vis has some of the best diving locations in Europe, with sunken boats and airplanes to explore. Or how about hiring some kayaks from Vis or Komiza, or hire paddleboards from Milna, or join a tour, to have some fun and make great memories?
