VILLA CORAL - LOVISTE BAY, PELJESAC PENINSULA
This is a lovely Peljesac family villa where you feel instantly at home - private pool, contemporary, comfortable styling and well equipped - with just a small lane between the villa and the sea, it is virtually on the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and a short drive to the convenience store.
Villa OverviewThe location of this Peljesac family villa has an island feel, but without the need to get on a ferry! It is situated at the tip of the Peljesac Peninsula, a short drive from Orebic and the ferry to Korcula island. You are spoilt for choice with nearby water sports and the opportunity for excursions to Korcula with its historic old town, for wine tasting at a local vineyard, maybe a spot of fishing or a visit to a chilli farm.
The sheltered bay here attracts sailing boats and cruisers and has a very pretty harbour, as well as one of the most idyllic swimming spots you will find - the sea here is perfectly calm which makes this a perfect getaway spot for some relaxation!
If you wander around to the tip of the bay, you’ll find plenty of fossils in the rock – you can even take a little boat out and have a picnic in your own little spot. If you want some gentle action, there are bikes and windsurfs to hire!

Location OverviewThe Peljesac Peninsula is a great holiday location and holidaymakers booking Peljesac villas to rent will enjoy marvellous scenery, and access to its famous wine region. It’s a short hop to Korcula island from Orebic at the top of the peninsula, which is a plus, and it also has lovely beaches and good value food and wine.
Orebic has a pretty, old town and lovely beach at the end of the old town. It is the biggest town on the peninsula (although it isn’t really very big!) with all the amenities you’d expect – bank, farmers’ market, supermarkets, butcher etc and is also home to the ferry port from which you can hop across to Korcula town on the island opposite either on foot or in the car – it’s a short crossing of about 15 minutes and there are frequent ferries.
It's worth popping to the 1km long Trstenica beach, just a 10-minute walk from Orebic centre which is popular with families because of its soft sand and gentle slope into the shallow, clear sea as well as having by Cypress trees which shade the upper part of the beach. There are cafes and tourist shops nearby selling everything you need for a day on the beach. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in Orebic to suit every taste – it is a vibrant yet relaxed little town. You’ll also find tennis courts there.
The area around Orebic and particularly Viganj, is superb for water sports because of the reliable thermal winds that blow on the island from May to October. Its location on the narrow channel separating the mainland from Korcula island focuses the Maestral wind to give the superb conditions, which in the mornings in Viganj are characterised by milder winds that suit beginners, while advanced surfers prefer to wait until afternoon.
There’re a lot of activities available to make the most of these windy conditions including kite surfing, windsurfing, water skiing, wakeboarding, and of course the inevitable crowd-pleaser, the banana boats! The Orebic area also offers diving, jet ski, SUP and kayak hire as some of the best ways to see and experience crystal clear sea, beautiful small islands and amazing views. Boat hire also available.
