Korcula Old Town is a ‘ Must-See’ for a A Day Trip
VISIT KORCULA OLD TOWN
Korcula Old town is a delightful relic, jutting out into the turquoise Adriatic, it really is a sight to be seen – spend the day wandering around it’s little winding streets, pottering around its many little art and jewellery shops, and have lunch a one of its many very pleasant restaurants – Of course, Korcula is the supposed birth place of Marco Polo and you can visit the house where he is supposed to have lived, and museum. The Cathedral of Saint Marko is also worth seeing – from the 15th century it was built by prominent local stone masons of the Dubrovnik and Venetian Renaissance and Baroque eras.
