Sit under the stars, kick back – relaxation is the key. With daily housekeeping and an attentive concierge to organise everything, the stresses fall away. Increasingly, you will be left with the hard choice between taking a dip in the sea or in the pool, having a glass of something chilled. Or sunbathing, but preferably both! Yes, barefoot luxury Brac Villa Mila has restful contemporary styling, and tastefully dressed with high-end artefacts from around the world. Comfort and luxury were paramount in the design of the villa, maximising on its sea edge location.
If 6 bedrooms is too big for your family, you might find luxury Korcula Villa Opus a better fit. This villa has the same luxury attributes as Villa Mila in terms of sea edge location, amenities and staffing. But with 4 double bedrooms instead of six. Villa Cavtat is a very nice villa in a very good location and is good for all ages. It has 6 bedrooms, sleeps up to 15 guests and has a lot of flexibility for sleeping arrangements and always gets good reviews. Fortunately, it is just a stroll away from the bustling yet elegant Cavtat with its beaches, restaurants and water sports. And Dubrovnik old town is just a water taxi ride away which is marvellous. Another draw is the wonderful peninsula for beautiful walks in Cavtat. Much of it is in the shade and it has superb views straight across the sea to the old town of Dubrovnik itself. You can stop to admire the views or have a drink at the little watering holes along the way, on the sea edge. Or, of course, stop for a swim. We would advise though that there aren’t many villas with a private pool in Cavtat so book early…
On Brac island – the closest island to Split (50-minute ferry hop from Split old town or have a private boat transfer from the airport jetty), we have Villa Dia with its 7 bedrooms. It has a different offer than other villas, as most of the bedrooms are actually more like suites, with sofas, TV etc. The location in Supetar (where the main ferry comes in from Split) is very good, lying on the sea edge with just a small walkway/lane between the garden and the beach. Really well equipped too with lots to keep you occupied, and if you have a pianist in the group, the living/dining area has a grand piano. Supetar is really nice and it’s easy to hop back to Split for the day.
