Take a Water Taxi & Explore or Relax on these varied Islands
PAKLENI ISLANDS
The Pakleni Islands sit temptingly and seductively just off the coast of Hvar Town and are bliss for a day’s escape to swim and sunbathe and to escape the buzz of Hvar town itself – Apart from making a lovely retreat, the islands are also interesting to wander around – There are various islands to chose from…
Bohemian Palmizana is one of the islands – owned by the Mengello family, it is filled with exotic plants and flowers, with lovely beaches at Palmizana and Perna. There are novel pretty colourful cottages as you wander around and the ACI Marina is based here, so sheltered are its bays…

For a lazy lunch, definitely try Restaurant Bacchus, on the sea in a laid back and beautiful bay, or stop for a drink in the the sea edge bar next door. Or try Toto’s Beach Restaurant set among the beautiful plants.
For more action, the bay of Stipanska on the Island of Marinkovac, is home to the famous Carpe Diem Club… Moved from the main Riva in the centre of Hvar as it became a bit too popular, its new home is a chilled out haven of a place to spend the day with heavenly lounge areas and bar, and you can party all night once the evening comes around. If you fancy getting back to nature a bit more then head to Zdrilca Beach, also on the island.
Then there is Jerolim Island which is top naturist spot and very chilled out island and gorgeous place to spend the day – naturist or not.
Water taxi’s out to the Pakleni Islands are cheap and you can hop on one from Hvar Town Riva…
