Probably Croatia’s most famous beach, Zlatni Rat or “Golden Horn” if translated -this beautiful shape-shifting beach is wonderful to look at from any angle and even more impressive when you’re actually there – it’s crystal clear turquoise water is beautiful and glistens in the sun. The beach is fringed by pine trees so there’s lots of shade from the hot sun. It does tend to get busy but it’s certainly worth spending a day or an afternoon here as it’s quite a sight to behold. Make sure you check out the views of the beach from above – have a wander around and you will find some lovely view points of Zlatni Rat Beach and the whole bay which is equally as beautiful. If you can, go to the top of Vidova Gora too and you will see the beach of Zlatni Rat jutting out into the sea – wonderful views!
The beach has a diving and surfing school plus rental of equipment. Back from the beach, there is pine forest and some bars plus children’s playground.
