Despite the quiet location, there are many things to do nearby. There is a picturesque swimming cove (i.e. swimming off the rocks) approximately 5-7 minutes away by car. More family-friendly beaches, along with numerous restaurants, cafes, bakeries, tour boats, etc. can be found in the waterfront villages of Cavtat and Molunat, 15 minutes and 10 minutes away by car, respectively.
The historical Old Town of Dubrovnik is just 30 km away (about 40 minutes by car). Nature enthusiasts may want to do some horseback riding or hike through the picturesque Prevlaka Park, both just 10 minutes away by car. And finally, some of the best traditional restaurants serving meat cooked ‘under the iron bell’, are located nearby in the Konalve.
This is a gorgeous area of tall cypress trees and wonderful old villages, beautiful scenery, stunning beaches and lots of activities! There are wonderful little fishing villages and pretty coves, walks through ancient vineyards and olive groves and activities such as horse riding, folk events, sightseeing etc are available in the surrounding country side.
The Montenegro border is within easy reach, and there is plenty to do and see in the locality; for active families there is now a new adventure park nearby with mountain bikes, paintball, ziplines etc or If you are more inclined to have some fast paced action, then there ATV buggies too.

Reviews
”The villa itself is absolutely amazing. Exactly as pictured, finished to a really high standard and has something for everyone. The play park and trampoline were a hit with the younger children, the pool table and table tennis table kept us all amused and the swimming pool was lovely, after being slightly chilly the first day Paulino turned the heat up for us. There is also a gym with sauna and hot tub!
The area is remote in the mountains, but it has beautiful views, a small castle to visit, really pretty churches, a waterfall to walk to, and a large cross on the top of a local hill which we also visited. The villa also has 3 mountain bikes which some of our party made good use of.
The local restaurants serving traditional Croatian food were really good and in beautiful surroundings, a little further afield (approx 30 min drive) is Cavtat which is more touristy and has a range of different restaurants.
We would highly recommend this villa and would consider returning. Aug 2017
