Recently refurbished to a high standard delightful Villa Angelo is tucked away in a sleepy village just a short drive from beautiful Porec (11km) – Close to the beaches and also handy for exploring the atmospheric medieval hilltop towns like Groznjan, Zavrsje, Orptalj, Motovun and Momjan.

Villa Angelo is a delightful villa with pool set just inland from beautiful Porec it’s the perfect place from which to explore the region. Here you get the best of both worlds beaches and rolling countryside very reminiscent of Tuscany – the local cuisine is divine with the farmers’ markets nearby specialising in wild mushrooms, truffles and game and in the other direction the abundant seafood on the coast, will find you spoilt for choice with plenty of award winning wines to accompany your dinners.
Poreč Open Air, festival of life is celebrating with 100 great festival events this year between July and September and offers a programme which is even more fun-packed . You can enjoy musical and street performances, watch movies and shows in the open air or attend special events on the streets and squares of the town and on the island of Sveti Nikola.
The festival programme has something for all age groups and interests, and is completely free. Don’t miss the World Stage programme, which includes attractive concerts by the world’s leading tribute bands (on the main stage on the waterfront ). Taste the finest dishes prepared with freshly caught tuna at Tunalicious Street Food or try one of the many restaurants tucked into the little cobbled side streets. Alternatively return to your delightful villa with pool with some local produce and fire up the BBQ!
Speaking of experiences in Poreč, you can hang out with dinosaurs at Dinopark, fly down dizzying water slides at Aquacolors the largest water park in Croatia, and get a rush of adrenaline in the oak forest of Sky Fox Adventure Park. There is a go-kart track – Motodrom Poreč. and the famous Višnjan Observatory organises special programmes for kids during the summer, and there are also equestrian centres, numerous city playgrounds, and bike trails to numerous to mention – Croatia is very popular with mountain bikers .
Nearby is the lovely old town of Rovinj. The town is protected by a high rocky shore and houses were built up on the cliffs, while the mainland side is protected by solid walls. The town is dominated by the baroque St. Euphemia’s Church, its 60-meter tower providing a view over grey and red rooftops and chimneys, streets and squares, the port and the marina.
This unique old town centre, the 67-kilometer shoreline, 2,289 ha of protected green belt and parks, forests, 16 islands, islets and reefs, make this town unique. it has become distinctive for its unique fishing boats called ‘Batana’ and its songs ‘Bitinada’. Its beauty was particularly appreciated by artists who have painted the most beautiful motifs here and exhibited them on Grisia, the street of artists.
For something a bit different take a ferry across to Venice ! or visit the spectacular Plitvice Lakes – Croatia’s most beautiful national park – The Plitvice lakes consist of 16 lakes connected with 92 waterfalls, surrounded by dense forests. Trails for all levels of fitness.
