VILLA TANGO – SPLITSKA BAY, BRAC ISLAND
Villa Tango is one of a small group of villas set on the pretty east coast of Brac – surrounded by Mediterranean plants, olive trees and conifers, it’s the perfect place to chill out, yet within a 5-10 minute walk you can reach the beach, restaurants etc.
Description
Villa Tango is a bright and beautiful villa for up to 8 people, so ideal for a small family or a group of friends. The villa is in a great location, not too touristy with just a local shop and a couple of restaurants in the bay – when you want a bit more choice pop along to the ferry port of Supetar just 6 km away. Here there is a larger supermarket, cinema, restaurants and craft shops and numerous leisure activities. With ferries departing from Supetar to Split 14 times a day, it’s also easy to hop on as a foot passenger and explore the street markets and museums there, before having dinner out and catching a later ferry back.
Villa Tango is located in the middle of the estate and has three double bedrooms all en-suite. Downstairs in the large open plan living area the sofa will convert into an extra double bed if required. There is a separate dining room with a fully open kitchen. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, an electric cooker, kettle, fridge-freezer and coffee machine. You also have SAT TV with flat screen and there is also free Wifi throughout the property. Also on the ground floor is a guest bathroom. There is an internal staircase connecting the two levels and also the roof terrace from which you can enjoy the spectacular sunsets with a glass of local wine.
Outside there is a lovely BBQ /dining area and a pool of approx 8 x 3m. The villas have been designed so that you have the privacy you need – Mature gardens shield the pool area from the other villas.
Brac is a beautiful island and surprisingly large so plenty to explore either by boat or perhaps by bike – hugely popular with cyclists for the last few years , there are so many tracks both coastal and inland to explore . The sea here is also clear as bell so very popular with divers. body board enthusiasts and try sea kayaking too – great fun!
The island has craggy shores and hidden beaches, but also boasts wonderful beaches, such as Zlatni Rat (Golden Tongue), considered by many the most beautiful beach on the Adriatic, it’s close to Bol, at the foot of Vidova Gora. The beach is a natural phenomenon according to the movement of the wind and waves, its tip moves to the left or right.
Zlatni Rat is also one of the best Adriatic wind-surfing locations. A free-style competition, which has become part of local tradition, is held here every year and now forms part of the official World Cup calendar.
you have a really nice sandy beach also practically on your doorstep – walk along the coastal path towards villages like Postira and it’s nearby sandy beach Lovrecina.
If you want more activity, make the most of a superb boat trips to Hvar Island
and Hvar Town – definitely recommended.
And when your exploring is over just return to your bright and beautiful villa , open a bottle of the delicious local wine and watch the sun set over the bay from your lovely roof terrace before heading out to dinner in one of the villages restaurants for dinner Marija for Pizzas and Vala for grills – or if you head in to Postira and then inland treat yourself to some lovely views and delicious food at Kastil Gospodnetic ( Dol )- it’s a farm that has a restaurant so locally grown produce – their own wine etc booking is advised as they only have a dozen tables so if you want something special eg the lamb under the bell or the octopus Peka they usually need 24 hours notice. Service is fantastic and usually includes a tour of the ‘Castle’.
